Achieving a natural look
Sowgreen® artificial grass is designed to look like real grass in every way. In fact it has such a natural look that it can even be laid up to an existing lawn!
Researched and developed over many years every aspect of Sowgreen® has been considered from its colour, pile height, ease of installation and aftercare.
Some other 'astroturfs' are made abroad and model their looks on darker continental grasses which often look out of place. Sowgreen® is manufactured in the UK and has been dedicated to the traditional British lawn. With a blend of 2 specially selected light and dark green tones Sowgreen® artificial grass looks good all year round.
The 40mm pile height (with only 25mm visible above the specialist sand infill) gives a natural flow that avoids that flat look often associated with artificial turfs. This sand infill acts as a ballast to hold the carpet upright and securely in place making installation very easy. This avoids having to use timber edging boards which non-infill grasses require, adding cost and restricting the ability to add natural curves to your lawn. The infill also helps the area to drain and dry out quicker and makes cleaning the carpet easier as the sand protects the base of the carpet. Compared to natural grass there is virtually nothing you need to worry about with Sowgreen®.
The special design of Sowgreen® incorporating a sand dressed base and bladed construction means that upkeep is very easy. Leafs and other debris can be simply swept off the surface or if required Sowgreen® can be hosed or cleaned with disinfectant or wipes.
This ease of maintenance is one of the key reasons why we only recommend and supply one product, Sowgreen® for lawn replacement.
There are other non-infill carpets available but these can become problematic, with the 'thatch' trapping dirt and making them very hard to keep clean.
